About Job:

• Work with the senior leadership team to develop the mission, vision and goals of the school; Develop policies and systems to manage staff and resources to promote the achievement of objectives;
• Under the leadership of the Executive principal and the Chinese principal, cooperate with the senior leadership team of the school and the management team of the Secondary School to lead the education and teaching work of the department, including training objectives, curriculum planning, evaluation system, etc.;
• Set up the academic team of the department, lead the team to study the national curriculum outline, integrate the cutting-edge educational theories and teaching methods at home and abroad, manage, integrate and innovate academic resources such as education and teaching;
• Manage the team and process of curriculum development in the department;
• Establish and improve the teaching system and process of the Secondary school department, ensure the unification and standardization with other departments, teaching and research groups and grade groups, and form a joint force;
• Establish and improve the teaching evaluation system of faculty members, evaluate the teaching norms and quality of education, and put forward suggestions for improvement, optimize the teaching process, and improve the teaching quality and student achievement; To analyze the teaching process and quality, and give a reasonable improvement plan and guidance;
• Work closely with the Human resources team to implement effective recruitment strategies at the departmental level to achieve departmental recruitment objectives;
• Participate in the performance evaluation and retention of faculty members;
• Work closely with the Brand Admissions Department to participate in the development of effective and innovative departmental admissions strategies;
• Participate in various marketing activities, such as parent workshops, to promote school education to the community;
• Participate in the interview evaluation and admission process of departmental students;
• Supervise the conduct and discipline of students and staff in accordance with the school's conduct and discipline policy;

About You:

  • • Has a minimum of 10 years of experience in Secondary education, including at least 5 years in a leadership role.
    • A strong background in curriculum and pedagogy is required, with preference given to those with experience in the IB MYP and/or Diploma program.
    • Has a solid understanding of international education practices, with especial regard to China.
    • A Master's Degree or higher in school leadership, curriculum and instruction, or a related field is a requirement.
    • Please note that the school will not initially have a full grade complement and Secondary responsibilities may be redefined as the school expands in consultation with the post-holder.
