About School:

Our school is an educational institution located in Jiaxing, near Shanghai, established in April 2016 with substantial support from the Suzhou Industrial Park government. It offers continuous education from Kindergarten to Grade 12 and is the first school purpose-built to serve the children of overseas Chinese returnees. Our school expanded its facilities significantly, covering a 66-acre site with 50,000 square meters of construction space to accommodate up to 2,300 students. The school follows a bilingual education approach in small classes with no more than 24 students per class.

Our school offers excellent facilities and an internationalized curriculum to meet the needs of its diverse student population. The school combines elements of the Chinese National Curriculum with an inquiry-based teaching model, earning acclaim for its teaching quality and achievements. Our school became authorized as an IB DP (Diploma Programme) school in May 2018, followed by authorization as an IB PYP (Primary Years Programme) school in August 2020 and as an IB MYP (Middle Years Programme) school in June 2022. As of August 2022, our school had over 2,000 students and approximately 300 full-time teachers, with over one-third coming from 19 different countries and regions. About Job:

• To be responsible for effective classroom management to ensure that every student can learn
• Curriculum delivery in English with proper planned teaching resources saved in school server, ManageBac or moodle as per the need
• Building course on moodle
• Planning appropriate written curriculum documents as per program needs
• To collaborate with the Chinese national curriculum members in designing relevant curriculum
• Meeting learning outcomes of the curriculum.
• Ensuring that assessment outcomes are used to plan lessons.
• Conducting vertical and horizontal curriculum planning. In particular, ensuring that weekly collaborative planning meetings occur.
• Collaborative writing of plans and are uploaded to ManageBac.
• Submission of plans and placing them along with student work samples in the teacher folder, and on ManageBac.
• Relevant pedagogical approach used to create active and engaged learning experience for students
• To create relevant and authentic formative and summative assessment tasks
• To be responsible for student learning and ensure that progress happens and is measurable
• To coordinate with parents about student progress
• To coordinate with pastoral team for regular follow ups, target setting and improvement of the student
• To do assessment analysis and use them to inform teaching and learning
• To contribute to the wider school community by helping create showcase of student learning and active participation in exhibitions, fieldtrips, competitions, judging, house events and so on.
• To collect and store evidence of written, taught and assessed curriculum to help in evaluation and staff performance evaluation
• To do reporting and commenting as per needs of the school policies
• To adhere to academic honesty and pastoral policy expectations from teachers

About You:

• Bachelor’s degree and above in the teaching area
• Teaching qualification
• Ability to work well in a multi-cultural workplace
• Relevant teaching experience of two years
• Command over written, taught and assessed
